Apparently some encouraging results using just lynparza and no adt in Brac2 patients----I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks. Ed

Maybe this? nejm.org/doi/10.1056/NEJMoa...

No - all patients on that trial continued with ADT. Inclusion criteria: "Ongoing therapy with LHRH analog or bilateral orchiectomy."

Ok, easy to misunderstand. In clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show... it says that the intervention/treatment in the experimental arm was olaparib and in the comparator arm enzalutamide/abiraterone. So they don't mean monotherapy in the experimental arm?

Not monotherapy in either arm.

That is just a clinical trial to test a hypothesis that in men who have never had ADT, and who can't have it for some reason, rucaparib alone may be sufficient. There are no data yet - let alone "encouraging results." You are not in that category.

fair enough--I will keep you posted if there is a trial with n=1.
