mini break
well the hormone treatment is going well, slight side effects like hot flushes and tiredness, but not that bad, I’ll be having radiotherapy in May so I’ve booked a mini break for myself and my wife in Santa Ponsa, Majorca at the end of April, seems like a great idea

Starting ADT and Rads in a couple of months
Would love your feedback on working while these treatments are underway. I am 55 still working daily albeit from home mostly - is it doable should I expect to get pounded pretty hard making work not possible.

Article regarding MCRPC and prognosis….Feedback?
Stumbled upon this article today as I am trying to research more about my dads cancer that has now become resistant to hormone therapy. It explicitly states that “MCRPC is associated with poorer outcomes, with most patients dying within two years of diagnosis (4).Apr 14, 2022” I don’t know if there

Hashimoto’s help
Hi, I’ve been taking two grains of Armour Thyroid for a while now and had been feeling well. When I had blood tests in February my T3 was optimal for the first time. However, over the past month I’ve been feeling really awful again - at first I had symptoms of Hyperthyroidism and then within a week

Epigenetics - Heritability - Cadmium
Soon after diagnosis I joined a group headed by a man who viewed PCa as a modern disease with its origin in the womb. His bugbear was "Estrogen-like endocrine disrupting chemicals" (EEDC). I had come across the weird PCa risk factor of the second to fourth digit ratio, which seemed like voodoo science

Does a big drop in PSA a month after the start of hormone treatment possibly represent a higher chance of cure?
Hi all, I have been researching and I have been wondering if big drops in PSA right after hormone treatment should give you more hope at a cure or if this does not change the situation at all? Father PSA of 226 dropped to 3 one month after Firmagon shot, and then 0.3 a month after that, and then 0.13

Seasonal Dose Change of Thyroid Meds
Hi If you have to adjust your meds (reduce) when the summer heats up, how do you know you need to do it? How does it make you feel? I'm struggling to make headway here. Given my last blood results on Armour Thyroid, I needed to increase my dose. So I did. I crept up 1/8th at a time to 2 + 3/8 grains

A Different View on Bone Protection
And everyone on long term
ADT
is at risk for progressive ongoing bone demineralization, despite Ca and Vit D use. On the other hand there is in erased risk of osteonecrosis of the jaw, ONJ, from these medications.

Diverticulitis, hemerrhoids (?), fissure (?), bleeding
Hello. After a pretty unusual bout of diverticulitis diagnosed by a CT scan, I saw my GI doc and he wants to do another colonoscopy. This is my 4th bout in 6 years - not very bothered by it - but the last one, well, I could not get the stool out, and then started pooping orangy slime. After that I went

Can you Eliminate Bone Mets with Radiation?
MSK says that due to oligo metastatic they could try radiating the 3 bone mets (one is apparently gone) and suspected lymph nodes in pelvic region (and stay on

for at least 2 yrs). There is evidence of greater OS. URMC says stay on just

Anyone using Ostarine to share the experience ?
I am in the seventh month of
ADT
after recurrence, increasing fat two fast, at the same time losing lean mass. I increased the exercise frequency, but struggling to keep the routine, had to decrease the workout wheights in one third already.
