Adriamycin anyone?

It looks like my next port of call is either more Taxol (which I found fine for the first 17 weeks) or Adriamycin. Anyone tried this?I found Xeloda was so bad for my tummy plus tiredness but found Taxol fine. I guess we are all different. Will not start until after next scan at end of sept.

Chemo vacation

After 2 rounds of TAC, Taxotere, Adriamycin and Cytoxin I began to have trouble with my heart. I was taken off the Adriamycin. For 8 rounds I was on just TC, the Taxotere and Cytoxin. After a total of 10 rounds of chemo and some severe side effects I am on a chemo vacation! 8 weeks no chemo.

Metastatic Peritoneal Carcinomatosis

I had 4 rounds of Adriamycin Cytoxin and was on Tamoxifen for 5 years. This past December 2017, I was diagnosed with a metastatic breast cancer, affecting my peritoneum, and have just completed 6 rounds of Taxol. I am HER2 negative and estrogen and progesterone positive.

Chemotherapy, a Trusty Weapon Against Cancer, Falls Out of Favor

Among the chemotherapy drugs commonly used against breast cancer are Cytoxan, Adriamycin, Taxol and Taxotere, which are administered intravenously. In addition to nausea, side-effects can include hair loss and fatigue. The de-escalation debate, Dr.

Keep safe in the Sun

Some of the chemotherapy drugs known to cause photosensitivity / sunburn include: •Methotrexate •DTIC (dacarbazine) •Oncovir (vinblastine) •Adriamycin (doxorubicin) •VePesid (etoposide) Thankfully, this increased sensitivity to the sun goes away soon after completing chemotherapy.

No corrective action taken YET.

Took Adriamycin (sp?) and Cyroxin which has been attributed to possibly CAUSING cancer. Oh, I am going to be 80 later this year so I guess time is kinda catching up with my old carcass.

My treatments

So my treatments are cytoxan/adriamycin every 2 weeks x4 treatments (#3 will be tomorrow). This will be followed by 12 weekly taxol treatments. Also have neulasta auto injector every session. So far I have lost 90% of my hair on my head. Eyebrows still good.

Weight gain and hair loss

I will be getting the red death(devil) cytoxan and adriamycin every 2 weeks x 4 treatments. Then taxol every week for 12 weeks. I know my hair will fall out but what about facial hair? Eyebrows? Legs? I sure hope that it won't come in curly. I don't need a curly mustache lol.

IN CASE THIS IS OF INTEREST TO ANYONE.

In contrast, the initial analysis of the ICON 3 trial evaluating a control arm (carboplatin or cyclophosphamide, Adriamycin [doxorubicin], Platinol [carboplatin] chemotherapy) vs paclitaxel and carboplatin failed to show a survival advantage for the taxane-containing arm.
