I think Tramadol has caused my RLS
However, I was told at a review I'd have to change to Tramadol as I was an
addiction
risk. I disagreed but it was done anyway. I started on 100mg MR but only took it in the morning for daytime pain that I'd ignored until I was taken off the Co-Codamol.

When will we reconcile with the fact that there is no cure now? Possibly never?
Because we are dependent on Carbidopa levodopa which is actually a lot of like an
addiction
. Any cure depends on the ability to wean off carbidopa levodopa, which is pretty much impossible without solid cooperation from the medical community.

I'm be been on EVERYTHING, even opioids, which can have many side effects like
addiction
. I've been on benzos as well. Even if something did work at first, it won't take long for it to not work anymore or you can have the unwanted side effects.

Doctor about turn!!
My regular doc had refused to give me gabapentin due to
addiction
issues. So talked to a different GP. I explained i was no longer sleeping well and she offered me sleeping tablets!!! Unable to prescribe gabapentin for insomnia… she said the uk did not follow the Mayo clinic recommendations.

tortuous world of pain
A functioning person is more likely to eat better, exercise more, smoke/drink less, have better mental health, even if they have an
addiction
. But they don't see it like that...and it is VERY frustrating!!! Why is Subutex only available for drug addicts to access?

Looking for positive support and good advice on similar or past experiences.
I'm struggling with clinical depression and
addiction
I find it hard to believe in myself most days and to recognize my accomplishments. I've lived a fast and nowhere near healthy lifestyle. I'm looking forward too being a better person.

Coming off PPIs
I took them for reflux which has always been part of the IBS I've had since my 20s.I now want to stop taking Omeprazol as I feel it' s now a physical
addiction
and ineffective. I spoken to my GP who is supportive and a pharmacist who was very helpful.

Theory suggests diet leads to Alzheimer's Disease
I am not surprised that scientists have a theory that high levels of fructose lead to a form of food
addiction
and this leads to inflammation, resulting in Alzheimer's.

I don't actually know what to do now.
The pramipexole was introduced last year as my GP ideally wanted me to stop taking the cocodamol due to the risk of
addiction
. But I found it really hard to cope with the RLS symptoms without it.

Keep freezing when wife has anxiety attacks.
To my dismay, she refuses to medicate, citing family history of
addiction
and negative experiences with western medicine professionals.

I'm back here, but got myself back there, and need to get myself back THERE (to be read with gesticulations)
I think when you get to the point where you need to run further because you don’t feel like the distance has sufficiently crippled you physically and/or emotionally, it’s time to admit an unhealthy
addiction
. But, hey, that’s for another day!

Seeking support
I also have had issues with
addiction
in the past and don't want to go down that road. I stopped taking my medication (with the support of my doctor) on April 30.

Alternating meds
The theory is that it is safer against augmentation for the Pram and tolerance/
addiction
issues with the Methadone. So far after one month it is working OK. There are still some bad nights especially with the Methadone period. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Struggling in general
I'm an
addiction
freak and very impulsive even it causes harm to everyone else. I have lost my family from cheating, lying and gambling which is my own fault and have no excuses. I'm not sharing this for sympathy or forgiveness from what I have done. Like I say there is no excuses.

Kratom anti-depressant, anti-psychotic, anti-anxiety herb!
That is were the
addiction
lays. I don't have chronic pain problems. So I use about the lowest therapeutic dose. 2 grams 5 times daily. I take green meang da strain. I find it has a balanced effect. low doses have a mild stimulating effects and anxiolytic properties.
