Just had some results back and would like some advice please
Hi all, I saw my NHS endocrinologist on Dec 9, she ordered blood tests to check my TF as I told her I was self medicating. I was also booked in for an SST and ACTH to check on my adrenal function, due to my Addisons and because I was supposed to be having a consultation with my private endocrinologist

Results are in - T3/T4. Does anyone know what the lower ranges for serum ACTH and DHEA are? My area uses 0 so I’m ‘normal’ apparently
Hi lovely people. After my dire saliva cortisol results, my private endo requested some blood tests. But they look like they are pretty much normal? The only thing is, the ranges for ACTH and DHEA start at zero, which I thought was weird. Also, I wouldn’t have tested my TSH, FT3 and FT4 yet as I’ve been

Blood tests after a trial of Levothyroxine
Hello all, 8 weeks ago I started taking 25mcg of Levothyroxine, TEVA brand. (I am already ACTH deficient and taking hydrocortisone x3 daily and now endo suspects I am becoming TSH deficient - T4 level has been steadily declining, and increasingly symptomatic of hypo). Blood results before the trial

Another puzzle - Addison’s?
Hi I’m hoping someone might be able to help me as I’m really struggling. Apologies for posting this here as I don’t suffer with thyroid issues, but a lot of posts about Addison’s have popped up here so I’m hoping someone may be able to help. I’ve been struggling for a few weeks now when I started

New Results, Need Advice Please.
Hi all, These are my results taken November 2019. Presently taking T4 100mcg + 10mcg T3, all taken & 6a.m. Tsh: 0.02 (0.32-4.00). FT4: 11 (9-19). Ft3: 3.5 (2.6-5.8) all nutrients all optimal and I’m on maintenance doses. Endo reluctantly agreed to increase but tells me to increase T4 and to decrease

Early Hypo/Hashi's Complicated By Adrenal/Low Cortisol
Greetings everyone: Finally got fed up with my family doctor who knows nothing and went two routes - endocrinologist (my doctor reluctantly gave a referral) and naturopath. Symptoms I have just about every symptom of hypothyroidism I have ever read and I am confirmed Hashi's by antibodies and ultrasound

Mild Relapse
I’m taking a 5 day course of
Acthar
Gel injection at home advised by my Neuro and on 4th day. It’s helping reduce inflammation, but sometimes I feel like I’m dying due to weakness when I walk around. I have been lying down mostly for 7 days. It sucks!

Cortisol Tests
HI Cortisol Blood Test taken 6 weeks ago at 9.00 am by GP was 182 nmol/L. The same again this week at 9.00 am by GP was 268 nmol/L I believe the next step will be for an ACTH but waiting to speak with my GP. Should I be concerned about these low results? Do you think there is any relevance in the

Levothyroxine with Hydrocortisone
Hello all, I hoping someone has experience of taking these 2 together! I have just this morning starting a trial of Levothyroxine, prescribed by my endocrinologist. I am ACTH deficient (secondary Addison's Disease), so take Hydrocortisone as replacement therapy x3daily, and have done for 8 years now.

Further tests
Hello, I am in the process of having further tests, one of which is for low cortisol and so an ACTH test is scheduled? Is it common for such a test to be given at a GP practice as I thought this was done by the endocrinologist? Or perhaps this test is done locally for then referral (if necessary)?
