Another Actemra question
Not seeing my Rheumy til September so thought I would ask this question After you finish your year with
Actemra
does the CRP start To climb again if your GCA is not in remission? In regards to GCA I am pretty symptom free so just wondering how they determine if the GCA is in remission

Funny Actemra experience
Last night was my third
Actemra
shot. This morning I was in less pain and had a lot more energy than usual. I went out early this morning and washed my car windows. Then I took windex cleaner (that you attach to a garden hose) and cleaned all but 2 of my house windows on the outside.

Actemra
My doctor has been trying to get me on
Actemra
for months. I finally agreed to try it IF I could get a blood test for possible IL-6 involvement. I am sitting in the lab at this moment waiting for the blood draw.

Starting Actemra
On Wednesday I am starting
Actemra
and I realize that ideally no alcohol is the right prescription. I do like a couple of glasses of wine with dinner any real issues with that ? Googled it but nothing really negative to say

REMISSION!
I was one of of the first to take
Actemra
and really fought with myself about doing so. Thank God I did.
Actemra
allowed me quickly taper down Prednisone to 7MG then I continued with the "Dead slow and nearly stop reduction plan".

Ro-Actemra/Tocilizumab Patients advice/ experiences please.
I am on Tocilizumab ( for GCA with Pred) ( 13th self administered injection due Friday). I have had a cold type virus for a week that seems to have eased off now. For some weeks I have had a swollen watering right eye and an infection in one nostril ( same side). I have now developed an ulcer type sore

Tozilizumab/Actemra
I am interested in anyone in the UK who has been prescribed Tozilizumab for "refractory GCA". I was diagnosed with GCA and PMR in July 2015 and prescribed 40mg of Prednisolone with a 14 month reduction ptogramme.. if only 😣 I reluctantly started taking 10mg weekly of Methotrexate in Sep 2017 because
