Optimal Treatment Combinations in the Management of CLL/SLL Jeff Sharman, MD Provided by Clinical Care Options, LLC
• Long-term data suggest improved survival with
acalabrutinib
+ obinutuzumab compared with
acalabrutinib
alone. • Venetoclax + ibrutinib is a guideline-supported option for some patients.

Bruising
Just wondering if anyone who is on Calquence -
Acalabrutinib
, has had lots of bruises appear? It does say it is one of side affects. I dont mind the odd bruise but have had 2 very big ones appear on my legs, the latest which has quite a solid lump under it and that is what is giving me concern.

My diagnosis has changed from Lymphoprolific none nodal mantle cell lymphoma age 56 to more of a CLL at 79 years.
My lymphocytes went up to 270 and I was started on
Acalabrutinib
100mg twice daily. Have been on this for 100 days, This has brought the count down to 8.5 . I have had atrial fibrillation a year before starting on Acal, so I am on beta blocker and blood thinner.

Acalabrutinib: tablets vs capsules
We were notified today that our
Acalabrutinib
capsules have been discontinued, and we will be getting tablets (pills) instead. Have any of you had experience with
Acalabrutinib
tablets before ?

CLL Treatment Options
I have been offered 2 treatment options - a 1 Year Course of Obinutuzumab Infusion plus Venetoclax tablets; or
Acalabrutinib
Tablets for ever. I would like to understand the comparative results of the two options including likely side effects so that I can make a choice. Thanks

Swollen nodes on
Question is, would this be the normal response to
Acalabrutinib
or should lymph nodes have disappeared by now? I am up again Thursday for review/bloods. Mick

Blurry Vision
Concurrently, I began Calquence (
acalabrutinib
) and Allopurinal, which I will take indefinitely. Shortly after beginning treatment, I began experiencing blurred vision, which continues. As an aside, I have had dry eye for a couple of years, and have used drops for about 2 years now.

Bleeding from Acalabrutinib
I had read and had been told that
Acalabrutinib
can cause bleeding, I sent a message to my doctor but have not heard back yet. Any advice/comments? I’d really appreciate it.

IgHV - unmutated and Acalabrutinib
At the time of starting treatment, we were in 1st year of pandemic and
Acalabrutinib
was offered. As he said normally I would have been offered FCR because I had P53 and no 17p del which at the time was great news.

On Treatment but Still in Pain
I switched to
acalabrutinib
and have been on that for 9 months now. While the swelling in my lymph nodes has gone down, I continue to experience sometimes excruciating lymph pain, especially in my neck and spleen, sometimes armpits too. Aside from the discomfort, it frightens me a lot!

Hubby about to begin Obinutuzumab infusions....feeling anxious
After having a transient loss of vision in one eye that was ultimately related to a "tortuous vein" problem and a white blood cell count of over 200k, his oncologist placed him on
Acalabrutinib
for eight months.

Sll/Acalabrutinib/lymph nodes
I am a month into treatment with
Acalabrutinib
and I can still see and feel many lymph nodes. I’ve been reading on this site that many seem to have had much better results so far… anyone with a similar experience?

W&W for 2yrs: Congested sinuses, heavily congested ear, partial deafness.
Does this perhaps herald the beginning of treatment (I have been informed by my CLL specialist that
Acalabrutinib
is likely to be my first treatment). As ever thanks to you all for making this such a friendly, indispensable and well-informed site. P.

Half dose of Acalabrutinib
Have any of you been transferred from a full to half dose of
Acalabrutinib
(1 pill a day) because the full dose caused infections ? If yes, did the half dose solved the infections, and was it still sufficient to treat CLL ?
