PSA rising on Triplet Therapy after <18m
He began triplet therapy (initially degarelix, then leuprolide +
abiraterone
and prednisone) soon after. By September it had fallen to under 0.1 and then under 0.05 by the summer of 2023. Subsequent PET scans showed some bone mets had shrunk, others were unchanged.

Enzalutamide or abiraterone
I asked him this question and said
abiraterone
has less fatigue side effects. I will need to get blood work done every two weeks and monitor potassium levels and kidneys.

Eligibility for Lu-177
He has already received docetaxel
abiraterone
and cabazitaxel. But his disease keeps relapsing. Doctors asked for the test NGS with Brca. His test results results are negative. is this test mandatory mandatory for lu-177 ?? My father is suffering from severe pain.

In the post chemotherapy space, two new oral agents have gained approval,
abiraterone
acetate and enzalutamide. The agent
abiraterone
acetate is an androgen biosynthesis inhibitor and lowers testosterone and testosterone metabolite levels by impacting the binding domain of the androgen receptor.

BATMAN
Post-BAT, the PSA50 and PSA90 responses to
abiraterone
or enzalutamide were 94.4% and 66.7%, respectively and median PFS was 20.6 months. Patients with peak PSA level of ≥9 ng/ml after BAT had median PFS of 20.6 months versus NR for those having PSA < 9 ng/ml (HR: 0.122, p < 0.001).

PSA 4.37, Metastatic Aggressive PC
I am now scheduled to take
abiraterone
and continue with the decapeptyl injections. Can someone give me any honest guidelines and advice on how long
abiraterone
may work in my case? Is there anything else I could be doing? I live in Northern Ireland and under the NHS. Thanks, Scranbag (Jeremy).

PSA ranges
My journey began with a test result over 3,800 in late 2020 and never dropped below 6.0 with the various treatment regimens (docetaxel, then
abiraterone
, then cabazitaxel/carboplatin, lupron/zometa throughout, now Pluvicto, with some radiation in between just for spice).

Discount pharmacies
Searching online for US specialty drug suppliers for Zytiga (generic
abiraterone
) 250 mg x 2-30 day supply I find from $650 copay/month, with insurance, to a US online pharmacy without insurance at $78/mo. I called the pharmacy who said the drug is manufactured in the US.

Nubeqa failing onto C-94676 clinical trial
I was f first offered chemotherapy with docetaxal which is the standard of care, go on
Abiraterone
acetate, or enzalutimide , or enroll in a clinical trial of an AR degrader C-94676 which is in phase1/2 where dose escalation has reportedly been completed.

Adjusting dosage of Abiraterone with low fat meal
In hindsight, I wonder if I lowered my dosage of
Abiraterone
(500mg down to 250mg) too soon or if I should just have continued on the 500mg dosage. I had found it very difficult to handle the medication dosage of 1000mg of
Abiraterone
on an empty stomach.

Had to stop
abiraterone
due to elevated bilirubin & will try restarting after chemo is over. Recently diagnosed with MGUS (Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance) which is unrelated to the prostate.

Testosterone - How low can it go?
Plan was to follow PEACE-1: Lupron,
abiraterone
& 6 rounds of docetaxel. Had to stop
abiraterone
first for irreg. heartbeat & then right before starting chemo as bilirubin went way up. Since chemo is hard on the liver,
abiraterone
is on hold til done chemo.
