just tested positive Covid. My doc has raised some question about coronary issues interacting with the two drugs. She’s researching. Anybody have any anecdotal experience or better yet, real science. I’m on 6 month lupron, abiraterone 1000 mg and 5 mg prednisone.

You are welcome. I checked in the medscape drug interaction checker and it seems Paxlovid does not interact wjth Lupron.

Thanks again. After further discussion I learned my doc’s concern was that since both Lupron and paxlovid impact cv and liver function, she wanted to make sure the combined effects did not create a problem. Since she found recent ecg and CBC in my chart that showed no issues, she prescribed. Otherwise she would order tests. I like having careful docs.

I don’t know about Lupron but Paxlovid worked really well while I was taking bicalutamide. A real game changer for me in terms of Covid

Thanks. I’m starting it in a few hours, when the pharmacy opens.

Switch to Orgovyx if possible. Much better than Lupron for heart issues.

thanks. Not a consideration now. I’m in the middle of a 6 month Lupron shot. Looks like it has similar side effects and some big insurance issues. Lupron, as a doctors office injection, is covered by Medicare part b.
