High liver enzymes - darolutamide
There are a number of posts here with
Abiraterone
and high liver enzymes but I don’t see much reference to daro and high enzymes. Doc is having me cut dose in half for a week and do a recheck (current dose = 1200 mg/day). The good news is my PSA is undetectable.

PCa survivor guilt
My PCa has been responding good to RT+
Abiraterone
+Lupron+Prednisone despite initial Dx of stage 4 w/a few PSMA/CT bone spots that did not get RT. Seeing others not doing so well stirs up some survivor guilt. I handle it by realizing God's plans are complicated.

Adding TurkeyTail (or other Mushrooms) to my current treatment
Quickly started Lupron and added
Abiraterone
by December. Switched insurance/institutions and went to regional cancer center. Added docetaxel and have finished 4./6 treatments. Next is tomorrow and final in May. In November, I found that I have the Braca 2 gene. I am Ashkenazi Jew.

Anyone experience lung side effects?
I’m on Lupron and
Abiraterone
since Nov. 2021. No physical manifestations. No shortness of breath. I do 40 minutes of treadmill @3mph with mild hills three times a week. Strength the other three days with no problems. Otherwise pretty active for a 79yo.

Orgovyx vs. Lupron, (with Enzalutimide or Abiraterone).
My MO wants to start me on a 3-month Lupron injection for my next shot, then shortly thereafter add
Abiraterone
or Enzalutimde. I asked him about Orgovyx, as I do have some Coronary Calcium, and also have mild Hypertension.

Hot flashes and Lupron
Since I stopped
Abiraterone
, the hot flashes are back. Real heavy, real often and accompanying them are intense mood swings. I'm going to look into estriadol patches becausee frankly I'm at my wits ends.

Adding Docetaxel to T3b?
He has completed 39 IMRT sessions and is 1yr into a 2 yr course of Lupron+
Abiraterone
. No gene mutations on his Invitae genetic testing. They didn't radiate his lymph nodes during the IMRT because he had testicular cancer 25 yrs ago and they assume they were radiated back then.

Cause of Liver Enzymes increasing
I have stopped using all medication, outside my Prescribed
Abiraterone
/Prednisone. Questions: I’m scheduled to have my 2nd Docetaxel next Friday. Is it realistic to expect my enzyme numbers to respond that fast? How long can I wait between treatments without affecting efficacy?

The Use of Low Dose Estradiol to Ameliorate the Effects of ADT on Bone Mass Density
It should be noted that
abiraterone
+ prednisone, as a second line therapy, was initiated in August 2020, ~58 months after ADT with leuprolide was started.

Abiraterone costs via insurance
Team, thought I would check to see what everyone's financial experience has been who are using generic
Abiraterone
Acetate. My BlueCross BlueShield uses CVS exclusively for handling all my meds. CVS is charging me/my insurance $9,650/m for generic

Too soon to be concerned?
., but, been getting bloodwork every one to two weeks lately as WBC count hasn't come back to normal since final chemo (Oct 24, 2022) and restarted
abiraterone
about 6 weeks ago. Since I've been getting CBC and CMP each time, I also get PSA tested. The past 2 weeks my PSA has gone up a little.

Bipolar Androgen Therapy Followed by Androgen Receptor Inhibition as Sequential Therapy for Prostate Cancer
Second, in men with CRPC progressing on
abiraterone
, BAT can be considered as part of sequential therapy with an antiandrogen based on results from the TRANSFORMER study. Importantly, BAT should always be given in conjunction with ongoing ADT.

Substitute Eplerenone for Prednisone with Zytiga?
The reason to give prednisone with
abiraterone
is to reduce the increase in aldosterone caused by zytiga inhibition of cortisol which leads to an increase in ACTH and in Aldosterone a hormone which is not blocked by
