Starting to give up!
Hello I am trying to find answers to my chronic health problems since beginning of August 2017. I will try to make this as short as possible. I was diagnosed with Graves 2003, had RAI in 2009 went hypo straight away then onto Levo now at 75mcg. Although I have never felt my normal healthy self since

GP cautioned me about Thyroid UK credability
I presented some insights/research in letter form to my GP to aid further engagement & education about by my ongoing Thyca with view to seeking their clinical POV. As they all have limited experience & knowledge in dealing with Thyca. Content included info. about T3, letter from Dr Lindner, D102 gene

Overactive Thyroid
Hi I've been diagnosed for the past 3 years or so. I have Graves' disease and TED.... I was due to have RAI next Tuesday but my Endo said my bloods indicated that I might be cured and so has postponed the procedure to monitor me until next Jan. So I have stopped my daily dosage of 5mg of Carbimozole

Doctor prescribed me iodine, but far less than recommended
I just had a chat with the rogue doctor, they suspect mitochondrial issues. In the mean time while I get my amino acids tested I am advised to take iodine, but less than I did before (150-350 mcg), they recommended as little as 50 mcg at first for long term to see what happens. I am also getting tested

Hypo following RAI
I am a 28 year old male who had an overactive thyroid as a teenager. It was under control on carbimazole but eventually I decided to go ahead with my endos advice to get Radio active iodine treatment in 2010. I was made aware that this could potentially cause an underactive thyroid down the line but

I an one year post TT and RAI. Last year had complete med withdrawal in prep for RAI as Thyrogen not available through Surgeon. This Year found myself a good Endocrinologist who has stabilised all my ranges, including B and D vitamins, calcium etc yet I still feel tired and achy and struggle to lose

Crazy thyroid journey!
Looking for anyone who may feel the same? I am waiting for thyroid surgery after a very long journey and feel it has taken so much out of me to get to this point. I think the medical profession can underestimate that on top of a very unstable condition, alongside this there are emotional ups and downs

A bit of reassurance to 1st timers!
Just to say the fear of the injection is far far worse than the actual injection! Don't be scared to ask to hold a nurses hand . .it helps. It's pretty quick so you may be waiting to feel something when it's actually been done! Make sure you get some drops for afterwards . .the only thing that's caused

Please help w-Feedback on Lab Results
Hello Everyone! I was diagnosed with Grave's Disease at least 15 years ago, had radioactive iodine treatment 2x in order to make my Thyroid underactive. I was told this was done because an underactive thyroid is easier to treat. I've been taking Levothyroxine all these years usually around 125 mcg.

Changing to T3- more Iodine needed
Hallo everybody, I had a Thyroidectomy 1996 and was for long years ( under) substitute with T4. Recently my health deteriorated further and I decided to give T3 a try. Now I am in better condition, ut just read one would by this increasing the metabolism also increase the ( beforehand existing) iodine

Thyroflex hypo /bloodwork hyper?
I went in for the test today. I've been reducing to 100 T3 and nails have started peeling horribly. I mean peeling so badly, half way up). My test yielded the following. Very hypo (150 or below is acceptable. 50 is ideal). I react, perhaps, half an hour after the bolt....! I'm exaggerating. But I am

New to this!
Hey guys. Just introducing myself. :) Claire, 30 from Fife. I've had issues for as long as I can remember and had always wanted a test done. (Took 9 years!) I had been taken iodine tablets which helped my hair and eyebrows grow and improve my moods but eventually my anxiety was getting worse. So when

Any advice welcome
I'll try and keep this as simple as possible. I had Radio Iodine about 6 years ago as I had an over action Thyroid (even though I was over weight!!) I've been on Leyvothyroxine ever since as they killed off too much Thyroid and I became under active. I've never been quite right on the Levo, getting

I'm new here - confused about tsh going up after ndt
Hi - just been taking porcine thyroid bought online for last 4 months, titrating up slowly and now on 3.5 grains. A year ago my tsh was 4.8, and I was chronically tired - have had chronic fatigue for last 8 years on and off. I followed Dr Myhill's protocol, and have found the stone age diet very helpful

New Bloods/Lab Results, but not much change? What is going on here?
Hi All, I am, as many know and have been kind help, titrating up on Nature Throid. I'm still on a low dose, 1.25g, taken in splits (upon rising I take 3/4g, and before bed, I take 1/2g). My most recent AUGUST labs just came out and admittedly, they were taken in the afternoon (about 3pm), not fasting
