By way of an update - my PSA has been quickly rising - 29 at last test so my onco has changed me from the bicalutamide to enzalutamide and I am having CT and bone scans in July - very disappointing after a PSA of 0.65 in Jan and hope that I was 'good for a year or two'.

However I am feeling good - only flushes and tiredness which I can deal with!

I had a sessions of dexamethasone (I think) and chemotherapy after bicalutamide before moving on to enzalutamide in June. My PSA has still been rising -it's now up at 118 although my recent bone scan didn't show much change from the previous scan. My oncologist seems happy enough with my "progress" and reckons that most patients are on enzalutamide for between one and two years before moving on to the next treatment - in my case this will probably be Radium 223. I, too, am feeling good (also with flushes and occasional tiredness) and recently got a Fitbit to track steps etc - usually over 10,000 steps and over 10 sets of stairs.

My wife and I are taking the opportunity to have as many holidays as we can, but have had to get used to high holiday insurance costs. I think my main message is to stay positive and enjoy life.

Thanks for your interest John - seems we are like minded - got my Fitbit last year and my wife and I are soon off to France for an extended holiday with family and friends coming and going. I had Docetaxel chemo last summer and my onco says I will inevitably have more at some point and then as you say Radium 223. Your message gives me more hope - thanks again!

John - just had a blood test and PSA has gone down from 29 to 6.6 - that after 22 days on Enzalutamide - fingers crossed!
