Rowing : A new series to get fit on the rower!

My favourite online rowing coach has just started a new free series of follow-along indoor rowing sessions.

I’ve just jumped on that series, as it sounds too good to miss. All about using the indoor rower to get fit.

First video was a 2x15 min low intensity session.

I wouldn’t quite call it a low intensity session, maybe rather a low to mid intensity session, so doable but taxing as there was continuous rowing for 15 minutes at quite a mid-pace!

As always, Scottish Coach RowAlong talks one through correct form, technique and all sorts of other things.

For those with a rower, this is a good one to try!

Thanks for sharing CBDB, this is becoming my favourite spectator sport! I'm always amazed at the details involved in rowing. It's hardly surprising that there are lots of un-used rowing machines about. :)

yeah, you are so right! Running and walking is in some way so much easier. Even cycling is. But rowing has actually a quite complicated technique.

However, I sometimes think that maybe if we were all still a seafaring society, each one of us with our own little family dingies, we might not find it as complicated. In the end it’s just taking up two oars and getting paddling! 🤣🤣🤣😊
