Ho, Ho, Ho! Only a few workouts to go! And so well done for having lifted, and stepped, and flexed and squatted!
We’re in our last week of our Advent workout countdown. Full introduction of this 4 week plan from the first Sunday is pinned, but again in short: join me in this last week of counting down to Xmas. Each Sunday there was a weekly list of workouts, you choose two or add your own. Elf workouts also featured, and at least one video workout has a Christmas theme!
(Credits, part 1/2) Well done everyone. And if you haven’t had the time to squeeze those workouts into your week, maybe the holiday break is a great time to catch up! Here is to us VWBs (virtual workout bodies)!👍🏽💪🦵
I don't think I've tried actual Zumba, but I did a similar sort of workout once at Center Parcs, and it was great fun! I seem to remember I ended up a rather scary shade of beetroot, but it was a long time ago - I'm fitter these days...

Hey you... this has been a great challenge. Fitting it in to the timetable of things going on mostly!Lots of fun too reading folks adventures. I was useless at the belly dancing... I think it is because I do not have much of a belly? That is my excuse anyway...I am carrying on with Amy... and y indoor walking and simply dancing around a lot generally...
Extra care days whilst Mama was working to tie up loose ends at work before the Christmas Break has been effective too.... whizzing around with a four year old is a workouts in itself
Thank you so much for this... it has kept me going and..... I did my first ???? ( how many times have I done this again) C25K run on Thursdays..
Here I go again!!!! xx

Thank you! 🙏 I liked belly dancing but feel I could do better with less a belly! 🤣🤣🤣
I started doing workouts with Laura’s Strength and Flex in my first C25k consolidation period and have never looked back. It’s a whole new exciting world, and strangely enough doing it in my own private home keeps my motivation more up than when going to a public exercise class. It allowed me to be patient with myself.
And these forums have been crucial for me to stay confident that small and continuing progress is absolutely fine.
So thank YOU!!! 🙏👍🏽💪
So well done and let’s keep going on our individual-but-together fitness journeys.
Thank you for doing this....I may not have fitted them all in but at least you have given me an interesting range to chose from! I love zumba so think I'll try that one!
Well it's perhaps not the best video if you are starting out in zumba as lots of top body only clips when you need to see feet! But if you've done zumba before you can fill in with the moves you know already. But as they all say... it doesn't matter if you get it wrong as long as you move it's fine! I went on and did a couple of other zumba videos and then the same lady's cool down. 👍
Well, I did a number of workouts this evening as I just wasn’t satisfied after the first two, for various reasons.
🧘♂️Ekhart Yoga was actually a nice short series of Yoga positions that will come handy during the food-rich Christmas period, but it was too short for me to get a real workout.
🧘🏾♂️I then moved on to FitOn’s Breann and her Full Body Stretch, which was great (write up here healthunlocked.com/strength... ) but there were quite a few positions that I know I shouldn’t do because of my knees. So I still felt a bit cheated.
💃🏽The La Bomba I know was a bit too dynamic for me on this tired evening and the Zumba I’m saving up to do together with hubby.
💪So back to lovely familiar Laura and her classic NHS Strength & Flex workout (week 5). It just shows how well this has been put together, giving everyone a good workout whilst considering all sorts of diverse niggles. It’s just the perfect 43min if one needs a safe and great option for a workout!
Well. I finally got off the couch and had a go at the zumba. My daughter happily joined me. Bear in mind this was my first ever experience of zumba .... it was a bit of a fail, and made me hot and sweaty in my thick Christmas jumper. Ungainly, unco-ordinated ... at best!
Can't imagine how many times I'd have to do that before I knew what I was doing 😅😅😅🤦♀️🤷♀️
Edit:
Having just watched the video my daugter took I'd say all that was missing was a santa hat and some long hair and then you'd not have been able to tell the difference from the real thing 😅 🙄😍

Awwwhhh, lovely daughter and I believe it! Well done! I know what you mean with coordination, and I have to admit I’m relieved that I’m not the only one thinking I have to learn from scratch how to coordinate all my limbs again! 🤣🤣👏
It was impossible (and it made my hip grumble the way I did it!) but I have since watched an absolute beginners video on youtube for 4 basic steps ... I may try that tomorrow

Ohhh let us have the link if it’s any good, if you have a moment, I would love to become more coordinated! 💪💃🏽😄
I finally did my last workout, Lindsay Jay’s Zumba Christmas Mega-Mix! And phew! But on the way learned about Zumba. Write-up is here healthunlocked.com/strength...
