Ok. Phew 😅 lexi6 got me and hubby to walk-dance 16 minutes to ABBA!😱🕺🏼😱🕺🏼😱
🤪How did that happen, and more importantly why???
Well...
🎸First of all one has to understand what ABBA means in our household. I - as the German - have a typical pooh-pooh ABBA attitude. Well, I think it’s a typical German attitude, maybe because in the 70s in Germany (I was still too young then ... ohh felt good writing that ... young young young ...) Germany’s youth was rather listening to the early psychedelic rock of Scorpions, experimental-synth Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk on the one hand and on the other we had our own ABBA/like disco songs which were pretty similar to ABBA (remember Bonny M’s Rivers of Babylon?).
🎶So whenever the BBC does another rerun of an ABBA documentary, my husband is the one reminiscing and I’m the one pulling a grimace as if I have a toothache. But I do know that if I want to get hubby onto the dance floor, ABBA is a sure winner.
👩❤️👨So, after dinner I was checking in on the HU community, tired from a long day at work and wondering if I had the energy to still do a workout. So I suggested to hubby to join me in an ABBA music workout, because I can be sure he’ll say yes.
🚷💃🏽🕺🏼Up to the BEat Fit 1 Mile | Disco Boogie to ABBA 💥 is 16 minutes long, and does low impact movements and is a kind of step-based routine. I’ve not done a lot of these, but these are good fun as they give you a sense of moving, almost dancing a choreographed routine to the music. And in the privacy of our home, we’re definitely lacking any self-consciousness. 🤣🤣
🚀But in the first few minutes in trying to grasp the various leg and arm movements, we did question if YouTube was playing it at double speed! 🤪😅
⏰Great fun, especially if you have only quarter of an hour and ....most important of all... if you like ABBA.
Happy working out everyone!
