Hello everybody and welcome to week 2 of the Plankety Plankethon.... firstly, apologies this is a day lite, life has got in the way ; I work full time and have a family, so life is really quite busy. However it’s doing this stuff that keeps me sane..... so let’s crack on !!
This week you will be doing 20 seconds Each day, Ideally do this in-between your running days so you do a total of 20 seconds on each of your non running days ( total of 4 days).
Get into plank position with your elbows on the ground right underneath your shoulders your feet hip-width apart. Make sure your back is flat and your head and neck are in a neutral position. Drive your elbows into the floor, and squeeze your quads, glutes, and core. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth—don’t hold your breath.
Ok. I have decided to read the other post (my education plan!) but do this lot first. Seems more my speed - thanks for thinking of the beginners here. 😊 just setting a timer....
Realised that we did the first week once and then forgot, I can fairly comfortably do 20 seconds and have done them twice, Willow however can plank for several minutes but is enjoying carrying on when i stop
On week 2 day 2. I’ve watched your clip so many times and am in awe of your plank (and your firmness!!!). My plank more of a jelly-shaking willow branch. 20 secs tough going. If I get 60secs (ever), I’ve told hubby he’s taking me out to dinner!!
Got to 14 secs and I’m proper yelling at hubby... “IS-THAT-NOT-20-SECONDS-UP-YET?!?!?!?!?”. Obviously, by the time I got that spat out the 20 secs was up. On a positive note, I got passed the ten second mark without wanting to weep..
Fact check: 20 seconds is really 2 hours in disguise.
I’m late to this but is it ok to join in now? Where about sun week 2 are you? I can manage 20 secs, with a bit of tremor going on, but would it be ok to start now ?
