For anyone currently following Adriene's 30 day yoga journey, Home, you'll remember standing on the mat trying to imagine lifting all the way up the front of your body, while grounding all the way down the back (it might be a familiar concept from other yoga teachings, or maybe other disciplines too).
Well I began to get a bit raggedy at times during my long run today ... and I thought of how much stronger I feel on the mat. I started to imagine at the front, and grounding at the back .... and boy did it make a difference! It turns out I was proper slumping ๐. I consciously revisited the thought half a dozen times and each and every time it made a difference. I think I need to make a habit of that to try to undo a slumping habit I hadn't realised I'd developed ๐. I even wondered if it might improve my race photos ๐คช
Try it some time - I'd love to hear it's not just me ... ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ.
I beginning to think there's a lot to be said for this yoga malarkey ๐
