This is so timely for me this week. I had just come to the same conclusion. My weight training is going so well BUT my running training is suffering as I don’t have enough recovery time from my weight sessions. So I am thinking I am going back to once a week and a swim rather than two sessions a week. I have been wondering the last couple of weeks if I am overdoing it at 2-3 Stregnth sessions and running and walking over 30km a week. So this week I am taking down the intensity a bit. Yeah.... I’m looking at moving what I do around a little too. I think I’m going to go to upper body weight after one run and lower body strengthening after another... that gives me two clear days for some active recovery walking.
