Another month under my belt. With the increase in distance this month and the cold I haven’t done as much on the Stregnth side of things as I would of liked.

I think I will give myself a could do better mark on that front.

My first back to back runs... been running since July and so can skip the odd rest day... so gentle 5k in the morning, tailrunning parkrun, so going to have run running slower than a walk! Today was 400m sprints x 8 with 2 minute rests... kinda felt good when it was over! Slight knee niggle all day... during and since the run it’s been just fine!

I did weights and core today, just a gentle 2km Walk tomorrow ready for. 7km Sunday. Hope your knee behaves and settles down, take it steady.

The knee has been fine since the moment I started running, which is weird. Woke up with an ache on the outer of my right knee and was considering not going at all... ache became a pain so it was off... anoint lunchtime I figured I’d go for a walk at least and when I’d walked a few minutes the pain had completely gone?! So I dialed up my run and did the first interval well within myself... no issue... ran the next slower, same result, so then I went for it. Now several hours later no ache, no pain... maybe it just needed a run.

Sunday I’m gonna be stood doing tokens at junior parkrun... I’d love to be running that 7k! After that I’m gonna go bag 3 active 10s walking... then home for breakfast!

Weights and core? Are we going RED squared? Oops threes that aggressive thing again 😂

I bet it is great seeing all those active kids at junior Parkrun. I am feeling my weights session from yesterday. I have a mini gym that can be set up In my bedroom. I place everything around the room and do a fast circuit including 30 second planks. It takes me 20 mins but it is hard work. I then do a 15 min session on an electric wobbleboard. Then lastly I am trying to learn to hula hoop with a weighted hoop. So good for core muscles but such hard work. If you want to have a laugh with your daughter get a hula hoop (probably for her age non weighted) and try it. I am terrible at it but boy can I feel I have worked those muscles deep down the next day.

The only hula hoop I’ve ever been seen with comes in a red packet with lots of its buddies 😂. We do have a wii somewhere in the attic though... maybe I should dust it off... we have the balance board and all that jazz.

That’s some workout 🏋️‍♂️ without leaving the bedroom too!

Junior parkrun is the best thing on earth... only sometimes tarnished by some overly competitive parents.
