G'day from Perth, Western Australia. I'm closing in on 65 (looking over my shoulder, I see it catching up with me), overweight, unhealthy, unfit with high blood pressure and need to stop this spiralling trend. I puff walking from the bedroom to the kitchen.....

Huffing and Puffing...
Start of with a slow ease into exercise. The Stregnth and flex podcasts are great because it is just a walk at your own pace and then a few exercises inbetween. If your not sure you can do the whole walking side of the podcast break it down, and just do the exercises, there is a link on the web page. Also have a look at our walking for health forum. That is a very supportive way to build up your fitness, we have all different levels I there and there is a great NHS app which gets you building up to you 150mins active a week. It is called active 10

Keep coming back and let us know how you are getting on.
Thanks for the warm welcome. I know I have to start training for a decent walk as I promised my brother I'd take both his dogs for their daily during his 16 day hike around Nepal in Sept. So... from the beginning of August I have been trying to get a short walk in each day to build up to the dog walks. Im overwhelmed by the number of exercises on this site but need to pick and choose as I can't get down to the ground or up again, without a big struggle and can't kneel. (Too fat, 97kg and too unfit). I've begun to use an old app called "The Walk" which I purchased years ago and hardly opened.
Its a case of move it "to" loss it... not "or" loss it. So far this month I've walked for 204 minutes. The aim is 30 mins a day and 95kg for my first goals by the end of August.
