Christmas present to myself.

Years ago I used to buy boots or coats with my Christmas money the last few years it has been running shoes. This year I went for something that will help me do my strength and flex workouts indoors as I plan to continue with week 5 for quite a long time.

The one movement I have had trouble replicating indoors was the pull up. So I bought these to help. It wil take some building up as it takes a lot to pull myself up but I will start off with little pulls and build up to stronger ones. You can do tricep dips with them as well but I think I need a few more bench ones to build the muscles but it's a goal to aim for.

Here is the link for the podcast again if anyone wants to give them a go. Only a 5 week program.

Right Realfoodieclub you have inspired me to include S&F in my weekly routine again. I did enjoy the 5 week course and continued for a while, mainly put off by having to walk so far to find suitable bars, benches and walls/trees close enough to each other to fit in the routine.

So after a break over New Year I am back on running 3 times, exercise bike 2 or 3 times and S&F 2 or 3 times with at least one longish walk each week.

Sounds like a plan to me. I'm going to be doing the walking segments of S&F on a rebounder when I am at home. It should lead to a good all rounder with my 2 runs and a speed walk a week.
