reynauds - does anyone get chillblains?
I do, on my fingers and toes, and it drives me crazy!
I have found that taking a high-absorbency iron supplement called Floradix has made a huge impact on the likelihood of the chilblains forming, I recommend this!
Also, I've noticed that drinking tea, coffee and eating chocolate seems to aggravate them so I do my best to avoid caffeinated things in the winter (stick to herbal tea).
The worst thing you can possibly do is get really cold, run a very hot bath and get straight in - for me this makes them form every time. Better to bathe when you are already warm and not
Good luck, they are absolutely horrible aren't they!
EDIT: meant to add "Better to bathe when you are already warm and not use very hot water."
My answer won't help you. Sorry!!
I had terrible chilblains as a child. I can remember crying with the pain and putting my bare feet on the cold metal of the school desk.
As an adult I also had them on my legs.....
They stopped when I moved to warmer climes. (I now live in Africa!)
