Pre-ulcer starting on my left outside ankle

I can't sleep because of the super strong needle sharp stabbing pains. Any suggestions to get out of pain? All I keep thinking is 6-12 months is a lllooonngg time for pain.

I have this daily in both feet - I describe it as walking on shards of glass?

Amitriptiline, a very small dose, has helped me a lot. It acts on the brain where the pain is received. Ask your GP.

It's me again. I forgot to say that you have to see your rheumatologist. You may need Iloprost to dialate your blood vessels, and perhaps intravenous antibiotics. Raynaud's ulcers don't seem to heal on their own. Not enough blood goes to it to heal it.

I had one a little while back, on the inside of the ankle, it was a devil to heal and so painful, I now wear a support below the knee stocking, these are supposed to help the blood flow back up the leg, not very elegant , but I think it's keeping another one at bay. I really hope yours doesn't break out. Take care.

Hi I havd an ulcer on my right outside ankle.have had it for 9weeks

Have been to see tissue viability nurse today .have now got to wait

For a scan on it who h will probably. Be in two weeks time.then back to vascular clinic in

Six weeks for results .then hopefully I will have compression on it

I have had ulcers twice before. On my left leg.they are very painful. and take

Ages to heal. You need to keep as active as you can and elevate your foot
