I tried Ginkgo for a short time but had to give up because it gave me severe heart palpitations (I don't have any pre-existing heart problems). I'd suggest you check your heartbeat from time to time just to ensure that it isn't racing.

I have been taking Gingko Biloba for years but at only 120 mg per day. Your dosage sounds excessive. I would definitely check with your Rheumatologist to see if this elevated dose could be detrimental. I find that it is useful and I notice the difference immediately if I ever run out of pills. I have Limited Systemic Sclerosis, with Sjogrens. Gingko is also recommended to avoid Alzheimers!

During the winter months I take one 120mg tablet twice per day of Seredrin, which is high strength Ginkgo Biloba with Phytosome, for primary Raynaud's. They are by no means a cure but I feel they do make attacks less frequent and a little easier to recover from. I have no experience of the very high dose you have been recommended but on 240mg per day I have noticed no side effects. I play vigorous sport and haven't suffered palpitations.

Thanks for answer I very stupidly misread container 6000 mg is ginko leaves Actual ginkgo biloba content 120mg Feel really silly now - I'm old enough to know to read the small print!!! Glad to think I can maybe take an extra pill when the cold weather sets in
