Strong pain in neck, jaw, losing sleep often; any thoughts?

My wife of 67 has SSD with Raynaud's and ILD. For the last few months she's been pretty stable, especially since the vasodilation medication began. However, she now gets bad pain at night on the right side as described, extending down to the shoulder. Sleep is being ruined, and in any case is liable to disruption due to mycophenolate every few nights. Googling, this new pain does seem related to her condition but has anyone else had this and how was it treated, please?

I have had diffuse scleroderma with Raynaud's for 20+ years. After an aggressive start it settled on Mycophenolate but in the recent 2 years has become more aggressive. I had a severe bout of right facial and jaw pain recently requiring assessment in A&E. It was diagnosed as trigeminal neuralgia and treated with Gabapentin then carbamazepine. I had some bouts after but now it seems to have settled so I have discontinued the medication but keep some available. Hope your wife can get some resolution.

Hi there. It would definitely be worth your wife seeing physiotherapist to help her with he neck issues. This pain may be helped by sone simple guided stretches. Hope it's helpful.
