Fillers

[Maxamillions]

Has anyone had fillers? I have scleroderma…I have done Botox and I have had mild chemical peels. If you have what kind of filler did they use?

Hi ..I have also been diagnosed with limited schleroderma recently and am having more tests for digestive issues .like yourself I also have used botox and fillers for many years and am how worried about future use ! I have a consultation with rheumatology in June so will be asking the questions about this and will keep you updated !

I have diffuse SSc and have regular Botox injections in the left side of my face for hemifacial spasm (where the tiny muscles contract involuntarily) - this was diagnosed a few years before my SSc diagnosis, so the medics knew I was receiving Botox treatment. My rheumatologist has not shown any concern about this. It would be interesting to know the opinion of other consultants.

Thanks for the reply. My specialist also knows I use Botox and is ok with it. She is not convinced about fillers so that’s why I’ve stayed away from them

Thank you for the reply! Yes please keep me posted. I have an appointment in May with a skin specialist that does fillers on patients with scleroderma. I was told there is a new procedure she does. I’m really looking forward to hearing what she says. The fillers is what scares me
