Hi folks, has anyone had a reaction from swimming in hot mineral baths.

A number of years ago I went with family to Bath Spa taking advantage of the pools and the Saunas. Had an allergic reaction, rash and itching, and thought it must have been the oils they use in the steam rooms. Yesterday I went again, really enjoying the warm water up to my neck, easing off aches and pains and stiffness. This morning my arms, chest and neck up to my chin are inflamed hot and itchy, rash round my neck, so not the steam rooms. The water is full of natural minerals and I think a certain amount of chlorine. I went swimming in a normal pool not too long ago and did not have this reaction. I have LSSc, with overlap, sjorgrens, fibromyalgia, raynauds and some osteo -arthritus. I am on Methotrexate and Hydroxychloroquine which keep me pretty stable and amytriptaline to help me get good sleep Has anyone had a similar experience in a mineral spa. I don't know whether it is the minerals or an intereaction with one of my meds. We had such a lovely time swimming in the warm pool on the roof under a lovely evening sky. Sad if I can't go again.
