Does anyone suffer fingers locking mostly my wee fingers
Fingers lock: Does anyone suffer... - Scleroderma & Ray...
Fingers lock
Yes and also muxcle cramps down that edge of my hand. Luckily they pass pretty quick
Hi Deby177, it sounds like Trigger finger
I would say it's trigger finger it comes with hardening of ligament in the palm of your hand, i get it and usually get a steroid injection which works for up to a year.
Hi,For me, my whole hand would lock, my fingers all moved towards each other & I couldn't move fingers or hand. It was a very strange feeling! It lasted a few minutes.
For me it was a lack of minerals, magnesium I think?
Luckily I was in hospital when one episode happened.
Mention it to your Dr & definately your Rheumatologist next visit. Xx
for me it’s fluid retention in knuckles when this happens. My right pinky and index finger are worst affected and I have some drift.
I think it has something to do with my dosage of Levothyroxine - if I’m a bit underdosed it seems to happen more. But I also have Erythromelagia which causes oedema so who knows maybe this? I asked the scleroderma prof and he said no one knows fully but it’s thought to be due to a neuro vascular process relating to systemic sclerosis/ CTD.
