Hi - I'm getting really anxious now about the Gastroscopy on Thurs, I'm not sleeping. Does anyone else notice that their white fingers are worse in times of stress and worry? The sun is out today, making the lounge nice and warm but my fingers look like white chips!
Thanks

YES Carol-C...unfortunately stress can trigger attacks of Raynauds....so as such it is a natural reaction. To tell you NOT to worry about your Gastroscopy would be futile of course but do try to keep warm ans as stress free as you can....best wishes for Thursday.... Bee
Yes, stress is a major component - try not to worry I had had 2 gastroscopies. I was really worried before the first one you will be fine and you can speak to the nurse or doctor before you have it done and you will be well looked after. X
I,ve had 2, couldnt remember a thing with the sedation. In fact when i came round i thought i hadnt had it done!
I agree - stress is a trigger! Be encouraged by what inkedup says. There is no point in getting stressed when you won't even know anything until the procedure is over.
Oh goodness yes it certainly does - poor you ,,,, I suffer with stress & can lieterally see the hands go white ! You take care OK - & you will be OK I have endosc. the othre week & as Anteater says you will be looked after xxxxx
Stress certainly causes an increase in my Raynauds attacks. Last week I had to have cortisone injections into my thumb & I was terrified of having it done so it triggered a very severe attack off!
