Tocilizumab for systemic sclerosis (with mild ILD) - any skin improvement?

Hello dear community,

I have systemic sclerosis with mild ILD. Although my lung fibrosis is mild, my skin situation is getting worse. Initially I was recommended to start Rituximab (both by rheumatologist and respiratory doctor) , now a few days ago I received a call from Dr. to tell me that the final decision is to start Tocilizumab.

I am confused as my skin situation is worsening (it is acknowledged by the doctors) and I haven’t seen any study to show benefits of Tocilizumab on skin.

I was told T is a solution for both skin and lungs but I’m not convinced will help my skin.

Anyone can share any experience, please?

I’m also on max doze of MMF and nifedipine for Raynolds.

Thank you very much ❤️

F.
