I have systemic slerosis with all the usual CREST symptoms, with the most problems occuring in my hands.
My fingers are puffy and swollen, stiff, suffer from Raynauds and occasionally suffer digital ulcers. Currently I am on Sildenafil (25-50mg per day).
I am thinking of trying acupuncture to help with the blood circulation in my hands and would be interested to hear if anyone has had any experience with that in relation to Raynauds / SSc.
Thanks

Hello HunkydOry. I suffer with Diffuse Cutaneous Systemic sclerosis (Scleroderma). Also Raynaud's. So my whole body is at war - intense pain swollen and stiff hands, legs feet and back. I have been having acupuncture once every 2/3 weeks for the last 4 years. I have to tell you although it doesn't cure my whole body feels almost normal albeit for only a few days.
Hi! I'm at present on my second day of Iloprost, which is my third treatment in sixteen months. I have to say, when I was having regular acupuncture treatments, my Raynaud's was much better ...... for me (as we're all individuals with our battle against our fragile immune systems)
The problem is the immune system is trying to fight something foreign in the body & is losing and gets confused. You have to find doctors that will test for root cause for autoimmune. Most the time its mycoplasma bacteria I have systemic scleroderma and I tested positive for mycoplasma pneumonia. I’ve been on tetracycline antibiotics for about 8 months & symptoms are improving greatly! I’m able to go back to work partime. Please go to roadback.org to find a doctor near you and read all the success stories it’s amazing.
L-arginine cream transdermal supplements are gaining a lot of attention lately for their potential natural health benefits. Neuropathy, arthritis pain, joint pain, restless leg syndrome, erectile dysfunction, infertility, and poor blood circulation are some of the most common conditions purportedly relieved with the help of l-arginine.
