Gall bladder operation

I have scelerderma and Raynauds as well as lupus and myositis, diagnosed 3 years ago, and had my gallbladder out two days ago. Has anyone else had this operation after their diagnosis? I feel so ill and sick all the time, difficult to take all my pills. At least I have some antibiotics as it has been recognised I am vunerable to infection. Off for a snooze now.

I had my gall bladder removed shortly after being diagnosed with scleroderma. I had no previous symptoms. The pain came on suddenly. It was excruciating. Not long after that I developed essential thrombocythemia. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Thankyou for responding I lovedancing and i think my late husband’s brother has essential thrombocytopenia too. You must have been in such pain suddenly with your gallbladder, I wasn’t thank goodness.Well it’s day five now and I am starting to feel a bit better finally though I think my throat has been scratched by the tube as on day 2 some skin suddenly appeared in my mouth and it now really hurts to eat. Not a good way to lose weight.

Your mouth sounds awful. I hope it heals soon. I was a while getting over m gall bladder op but absolutely fine now and I can eat what I like with no ill effects. I was told to avoid cream I don't eat it often but when I do I am ok

That sounds reassuring thankyou for letting me know. The throat is still very sore but the Boots pharmacist talked to my daughter and I got some magic throat spray by covonia. Apparently scraping the windpipe when removing the breathing tube does happen. I wonder if it happens more with scelerderma? I will ask my consultant that in my telephone call in August.

I was diagnosed from a routine blood test by the consultant see for my scleroderma. I was quite shocked as I had no symptoms. He noticed my platelets were really high and sent me for more tests.
