I wondered if anyone with systemic sclerosis has since applied for health insurance policy / medical coverage and had to pay a higher premium due to the condition ?
I am planning to Spain later in the year and have concerns about my condition and how it affects my status with health insurance ?
Any info would be grateful appreciated !
Thank you !

There are some great companies out there offering insurance to people with pre existing conditions. I've had a kidney transplant due toa scleroderma renal crisis in 2017 and I used a company called free spirit to travel while I was on dialysis (pre lockdown). It wasn't considerably more expensive than "normal" insurance. I believe theres a company called freedom travel that I've heard about but never used.
It's entirely dependent on how many problems your scleroderma causes. Most insurance companies (I've used post office insurance previously) will offer you insurance with a couple of well managed conditions.
Just remember to always be as honest as you can about everything.
You don't want to have an issue and it's not covered because you had a one off episode of high blood pressure 2 years ago and didn't disclose it or something.
Hope this helps.
I'm from the UK so some of my info may ve wrong for other countries
