I am contemplating buying heated gloves and socks so that I am ready for winter. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how effective these are? Has anyone used these? Is it worth investing in these or would reusable hand warmers be more effective? I am looking to use these both in and outdoors.
I have had a look on Amazon and they range widely in cost. Reading some of the descriptions it seems that the batteries only last a short time (approx 1 hour).
Does anyone have any recommendations of worthwhile brands and he best place to buy these from? The SRUK shop is currently closed due to Covid-19.
Thank you very much in advance

I have a dreadful job keeping my hands and feet warm all year round.
I have looked at battery powered socks but never tried them. I use bamboo socks which I find the warmest and self heating insoles from the SRUK shop. Then in the very cold weather I have some fur lined boots. They keep my feet warm but are very heavy. This past winter I wore my Allbirds shoes which are made from wool and very warm, though unfortunately only shower proof. I found this combination the best I've ever had and I've had Raynauds all my life, I'm now 80. Hopefully the shop will be open again before winter. Allbirds you can only get on line and they are not cheap, but I think worth every penny. I have 2 pairs and practically live in them all year round.
My hands, I wear gloves all the time, in winter gloves underneath mittens, and reusable hand warmers.
