Losing Vision!

Unable to read, decrease in vision, told scarring under eyelidsand is scleroderma of eyes, started on serum tears, prednisone and diflucan. So scared and how will this go??

I’m so sorry. I’ve never heard of this. My sights deteriorated but I thought it was age related. I’ll get this checked out. I hope they can help you .

I have had dry eyes since my mid 20’s

And on restasis for many years.

Last year I had steroid induced cataracts

And had surgery- but this is very scary as not improving....

I hope something can be done. This disease is scary. I too take steroids and now take hydrochlorquinine which can also affect vision.

I've never heard of this with scleroderma?? However it sounds as if you need a referral to an ophthalmologist. Are you on hydroxychloroquine as this can affect your eyes?

I have been following with opthamalogist for years and just started seeing corneal specialist this month at Kellog Eye Insttute

The eye dr started me on the prednisone daily- not on treatment otherwise

I’m sorry to read this! I have lost much of my vision over the past ten years, and I can no longer see to drive. My new consultant in the USA now has me using Lotemax - steroid drops - x3 daily and it seems to have slowed down the loss of vision.
