So my dad's just been diagnosed with Raynaud's and I wanted some advice on how to best support him as I'm the oldest child out of the three of us I almost feel like it's my responsibility.
I don't know what to say or how to approach the subject or even if I should some advice would be really appreciated
Hi Funnymango, it might not be as worrying as you think; however, it is important that you know whether it is primary or secondary Raynaud's?
This would impact on any further treatment, as primary Raynaud's , in most cases, does not require any medical intervention.
The best support is to keep the environment warm, and shield the hands from the cold, (warm gloves), whenever he goes out.

They're brilliant, as I can wear them all day, but the design means it's easy to get hands free without taking them off. I just pull them back up my arms if I need to wash up/go to the loo etc etc. Best thing I ever bought.

Hi there as others have said the key is finding out which type as its its primary that is just Raynaud's its painful but benign. If its secondary that is a symptom of something else (normally an autoimmune disease) then its something else. If its new and it sound like it is then it's most likely secondary. Has lots of advice. Managing rays is straightforwards and there's meds that help too others here can support I developed rays as a 48 year old man so know what its like. I had to wear gloves a lot and sleep in these until meds controlled it brandedoutdoorclothing.co.u...

A neck warmer like this is amazing. You can usually find them locally. If it has 3 sections it holds its shape best. I've been using mine almost all day every day this winter around my neck and I can use it to warm my hands and feet whenever needed.
The wrist warmers suggested above are also great.

I had remote start in my vehicle for years which was good. Now I don't have that but I have heated seats which are great.
