Hi Selsey, read your post and agree with you so much. I have scleroderma and reynaulds and seem to spend all my time wrapped up in so many layers to try and keep warm. Even with the heating on I still feel cold. I look forward to bed because that is the only place I can really say I am warm and comfortable. Have you tried heated throws? I love them. Makes sitting watching TV much better! I don't know why they have 6 heat settings as I always put it on to maximum every time and ohhhh the lovely feeling of heat when it reaches my legs and hands. Also agree with the tiredness you are experiencing. I feel like a fraud when I say to people I am just so tired. You know they are thinking "everyone gets tired" but it's more than just normal tired, it's exhaustion and you could sleep forever it feels. I was diagnosed a couple of years ago and I have been trying to keep my life going but in the last few weeks I've had to go back to GP as pain in my legs is too much and I can't get to and from the bus stop. Luckily I have been able to work from home but that is not practical in the longer term. Waiting for blood test results to see what has changed. And don't get me started on getting blood from a cold person!!! Hope the sunny weather comes soon and warms you up. Take care.

So many of the things you experience I have experienced too. I have kidney disease due to the scleroderma so I have blood work done every 3 months. Needless to say it is very difficult to draw blood. I also get cold frequently. I have a throw that I use each time I sit and watch tv or read.

I know the feeling. My standard kit is to wear two thermal vests (one with long sleeves), a brushed cotton shirt, a cashmere jersey and a body warmer under my jacket, and I manage to keep a regular temperature that way. I tend to keep them on for most months of the year. I also wear dense trousers, ankle and wrist warmers and Raynaud's & Scleroderma Association silver-threaded mittens. Keeping warm is a prolonged campaign of improvisation.
