Numbness below knee

Hi, I've been having a lot of pain in my right hip, had x-ray but only slight narrowing showing up. Also there's a patch of numbness below my knee, in fact the whole of my leg feels really sore, does this sound like some nerve damage is happening?

I have right hip pain (awaiting X-ray appointment) and my knees feel like they belong to someone else! We may have to compare results 😏

Hope all goes well for you and yes we'll compare future developments.

Hi. I mentioned before that I was awaiting results of my hip X-ray and we should compare. Mine shows osteo-arthritic changes. I told my GP that the niggling pain escalates when on Methotrexate but goes back to just being a niggle if I don’t take it. We are taking this back to Rheumatology because my GP, like me, does not believe that it is a coincidence. It’s bad enough having scleroderma without medication creating problems that affect quality of life. Or is that the ‘penalty’ of protection against worst things 🤔. Sounds like my hip issues are different to yours though. Take care. Jen

Hi Jen, sorry to hear about your osteo-arthritic changes, another thing to worry about! My hip feels slightly better, not as much pain but stiffening up quite a lot, numbness is still there though. I'm reluctant to go back to the docs because my last blood tests weren't showing up anything significant. My raynauds seems to be worsening though, the pain of that in my hands and feet is bothering me a lot plus the swelling. My original tests showed only a slight positive for other factors and unless it's full blown positive, there doesn't seem there's much they will do. I just keep a close eye on the changes and see what crops up next. Keep well and take care x
