Treatment for raynauds in a teenager

Hi all, I have primary raynauds and all 3 of my children have unfortunately inherited it. My 2 adult children aren’t too bad and manage things like I’ve always done (never taken any drugs for it). My youngest son, 14, seems to have got it worse than the rest of us. He struggles at school and both his hands and feet are quite bad. To make it worse he has sensory issues with mild autism so he’s not great at dealing with discomfort. I’ve taken him to the doctors and there’s nothing they can prescribe for under 18s. My eldest daughter has started taking beetroot tablets to help and I’m wondering if anyone knows if this is something that can be taken under 18, if not, are there any other herbal or other supplements that might help? Thanks in advance!

Hi Julesboz, sorry to hear you're son is suffering, try Ginko Biloba it really helps with the circulation, takes about 5-6 weeks before you notice a difference but stick with it, it can really help. If you have A Bodycare near you, it's £2.99 for for 30 high strength tablets. It really helps me. xx

Hi there, thanks for that. Are you sure it’s safe for under 18s? I looked at Holland and Barrett’s tablets and they say suitable for over 18s

Hi Julesboz the ones I use from Bodycare do not state they are for over 18's so i would assume they are ok, perhaps the type stocked by Holland and Barrett have different ingredients to the brand i buy so I guess you could check with your GP if you are concerned. All the best xx
