I have had bouts of this but am unsure how to treat in the moment as my skin literally feels on fire?

Strangely enough yes on my left heel only, so far, anyway. There is absolutely nothing to see. Hope it doesn't come anywhere else as it is excruciating. Poor you I sympathise. Where are you getting it?

Hello flowflow,

I have it on my legs and tumy but is more pronounced on my righ tigh and leg and left side of tummy.

Some kind of moisturizing lotion will help long term but for short term cream/ lotion painkillers such as volataren creams helps me, as per suggested by my doctors.

I hope it gets better for you., even wearing pants is eye wateringly painful for me.

I literally cry myself to sleep some nights until the prescription painkillers kick in, they are of the opioid kind so I will not mention them here.

They also make me drowsy during the day, so I keep below the dosage prescribed and take them in the late afternoon.

I also make kind of a tent with other pillows as support when in bed so the covers do not touch the sensitive areas of my skin.

I am so so sorry you are going through the same thing

My sister n law ..., Had *Yeast infection* on her Ankle .... Extreamly itchy , burning , it was diagnosed by her PCP....

I started using slot of coconut oil ..., It is *natural way* to help with dry skin and prevent yeast on the skin....

I would talk to a Nurse , or your PCP ..., If it has been going on for quite a spell....

Stop clawing at it .... LOL 🙃 .... I'm teasing ... But you can get a secondary infection from scratching.... Call the Doc. Get it checked out....

Blessings 🕊️

Have you had a recent injury on the affected area? It could be Complex Regional Pain Syndrome which is excruciatingly painful in comparison to what you thought to be a small injury and is nerve pain. Just a thought......hope you discover what it is soon x
