Ok so over the weekend we had a party 🎉 and as is customary I hid things in my bedroom and shut the door. I must have done something because on the back of my knuckle (index finger) I have what appears as a big black underlying area. It started as what appeared to be a massive backlog of what I thought must have been blood (what else could it possibly be??). Since then it’s be up and down black and then black underlying. Any ideas 💡 please.

A trip to the Drs for you James I think! Sounds like it needs looking at. Index finger is too important to lose!

Who knows what you might have got up to in your anaesthetised alcoholic state :) You may have knocked it badly and if you were a bit drunk then the alcohol would have reduced your ability to notice the pain. I am assuming you have scleroderma or at least poor circulation so it definitely needs medical attention.

All my best

Hi, I have to agree with LucyJean - a trip to the GP is what you need. With our conditions it's not worth risking ignoring things like this - our "body" is too good at ignoring it's own extremities without us helping! If you can't get to the GP today, may I suggest as well as making your appointment, you visit your (or any) Pharmacist today. They have a lot of knowledge and if nothing else they may be able to give you something to relieve any discomfort you're in whilst you're waiting for your appointment. Hope it heals quickly. xx
