Headache

Hi

I have suffering from scleroderma & raynaud’s for about 3 years.

Taking mycophenolate, ranatidine, omoperazole and Pentasa.

Had a head MRI and had back of my eyes checked out but nothing revealed cause for headaches.

It’s like a dull ache at back of head and cones and gies during the day and is worse in evening and is getting hard to cope with.

Could this be down to the condition or medication?

Thank you

Hi NSV69,

If you’ve had an MRI I imagine you’ve already ensured you’re hydrated (inc. electrolytes); had your basic things checked by your GP e.g. blood pressure, temperature etc; have cut out migraine-inducing foods such as cheese, chocolate, caffeine, & alcohol; had your eyes checked by an optician; and checked the information on your medications.

Have you considered talking to your pharmacist since you’re on a number of medications it may be the mix you’re on.

Can you correlate any event/change around the time they started? (Change of medication/sudden stress/change in diet/change in sleep pattern/etc)

Good luck I hope you get some relief soon x

Hi NSV69

I never suffered headaches until I started taking Mycophenalate, sometimes its dull and last a couple of hours, other times I get a short sharp pain at the back of my head that lasts a couple of seconds then it's gone, so ive put it down to medication for me. I hope they can help you get rid of yours. Best wishes x

Thanks SarahJane

Yes I think it is medication related although now on additional medication to prevent headaches.
