How has the current spell of hot weather affected your condition(s)?

I was just wondering how everyone was coping with the current spell of hot weather in Britain.

Do you welcome it? Has it provided you with some relief or has it made things worse?

Hello Rollcage. I have diffused cutaneous systemic sclerosis, the correct terminology according to my consultant, but I still say scleroderma! Plus I have raynauds, vasculitis and sjogrens. I can usually tolerate the wonderful British summer, or temperature of around 22C, but one of my medications advises not to go out in the sun in any event so it's a catch 22. The current temperatures we have been experiencing have made my life miserable. My pain has increased and I have been confined to my home more than I have ventured out of it. On the odd occasion I have had to leave my house I have suffered extreme fatigue and cold, clammy sweats. Whilst I am happy for those who can benefit from the lovely weather we are experiencing, like you I would be very interested to know how it has affected others with this condition!

For me, anythinģ below 22 is freezing, and although I am not a 'sun' person, it is pleasant to do without socks and mittens.

Also, lying around with my feet up seems less abnormal!

This weather has made it a lot, worse, it seems that with each step I take my knee lets me down, My psoriasis, has gotten a lot worse, in fact it has made me rather miserable, am speaking with my GP this morning I will tell him about all these things that has brought me to the brink.

Hi everyone, my SSc seems to be dormant at the moment, although air con and fans are a relief they're also cold! It's too hot for me in the daytime but I am out early and evenings with the pooch :) training at the gym is a sweat-fest.

Very unpleasant. Affected my day to day living to a point where I am avoiding going out if I can.

It's nice not having to wear loads of layers but too hot to walk around during the day, it's unbearable at work! My hands have started itching a lot too! Can't grumble too much though, love looking out on a sunny day, it cheers me up and summer evenings are lovely
