I have suffered with my neck over the years after skiing accident in 1986 when I chipped C7 and recovered ok, but then 3 years my neck became so bent with Scleroderma/ Myositis I was practically looking at my knees. I did lots of exercises to get the neck straighter and used a lavender wheat bag that you heat in the microwave.
By putting the pack on first and then moving neck slowly from side to middle on both sides and also looking up, back to looking forward and then downwards and back to looking forward.
It has made a big difference, my rheumatologist couldn’t believe how I manage to improve the muscles.
I try and bring everything higher up to my head so I don’t strain my neck, I have a lap tray which is quite comfy and use a recliner chair to bring my lap and legs up higher so as I don’t strain my neck looking down.
Don’t know if any of these tips will help.
Have you had an MRI?
Yes. But the result suggested muscle spasm only everything was normal.
