Yes, I've used it and my reflux is significantly better. I've managed to come off omeprazole, which I'm so glad about now that I'm learning more and more about the dangers of taking this for a long time. Take a tablespoon in water before every meal, you can add honey to sweeten it if you prefer. Drink it through a straw to protect your teeth. Good luck - you're doing the right thing!

Wow what are the dangers of taking Omeprazole long term? I have found taking good bacteria capsules Acidophilus Extra with 10 billion live bacteria has transformed my gut problems. Worth a try for anyone who is suffering. I do take one 20mg Omeprazole first thing as well though

Yeah, they say you should wean off them slowly, like taking one every other day for a bit. But I felt ok just coming straight off them. After all, if you took omeprazole and ACV they are going to be acting against each other. The PPI reduces the amount of acid you produce and the ACV is trying to increase the acidity of your stomach, so not much point taking them at the same time.

I am on Omeprazole too. I tried the Braggs apple cider vinegar I just could not drink it. Tried with honey too. It was the most horrible taste. Ended up throwing it away.

You could always try Betaine HCl with pepsin, if you wanted to try to come off your PPI.

You do get used to the taste though! 😀 When I first started taking it I used to take it in a bit of apple juice, until I got used to it.

I don't like it but would rather have that than all the other symptoms. Mind you should I really worry at 70 I wonder. I also have iron malabsorption altho my ferritin levels have been better lately.

The omeprazole could definitely be causing your iron malabsorption.
