I'm 61 female and have Scleroderma/Raynaud's and suffer ulcers on my fingers, recently I had my left index finger amputated and now my ring finger on the right hand is giving me trouble...surgeon, reumatologist both suggested digital sympathectomy, but wondering if the procedure would help with circulation? I know it would help for pain but I'm afraid not to have feeling on my gingers...any suggestions?

Please do ask the doctors for clarification. My understanding is that a sympathectomy is in order to improve the circulation and so reduce pain that way.
Good luck!
Am in similar situation (except no amputations... yet... one very dodgy ulcer at present)
Did you get clarification? I am struggling to find good info on any of this.
