I know how you feel. Two years ago I got an appointment with a rheumatologist after I had suffered with pain in my legs and had got to the stage where I could hardly walk. My GP still couldn't see anything wrong but the surgeon who did my carpal tunnel operation could, and he referred me to the rheumatologist. I only had to wait 4 weeks to get an appointment and I am very happy with my doctor in the hospital.
I hope you have such a good one as mine.
It's so great when one finally gets some progress isn't it? I'm glad for you. I am still waiting for the Rheumatologist appointment. I've just had an operation on my foot. I had a huge Bunion on my big toe, and the cartilage in the big toe knuckle had worn away as well and my toe was moving over to the right and pushing my other toes over. I also have what's called Morton's Neuroma's between my toes, so they fused the knuckle, scraped the Bunion and cut the Neruoma out. The first night I had terrible pain, but since then, it's been much better and I know don't have the pain right up my leg that I used to have. Something connected to the Neuroma must have been pulling the nerve in my leg I think. Anyway, hobbling around on crutches for a couple of weeks and can't drive for 4 - 6 weeks! Yikes!! Going to get lonely and frustrated at home. Thank goodness I have all of you to talk to! Reading, watching T.V, and hopefully, getting visitors! Have a good weekend everyone.
So pleased for you littlemissey I too have finally got my app at the royal free on the 3 july isn't it strange that we are happy about finally seeing people who understand our conditions. Please let us know how you get on. All the best.
Sorry I spelt your user name wrong.
Make a list of all your symptoms and the questions to ask and make sure you have asked them and got answers as far as possible. You will have tests to resolve some of the questions so don't expect the answers until the results come out.
Royal free is in London everyone sings it's praises and I am very optimistic. Hope you get all the answers you need.
