I wawk up through the night it's like upon swallowing I think in my sleep and then my breathing just stops and I wake up gasping for air
It happened about six time the other night
To the point my husband said he was worried about me falling to sleep
Is this sleep apnea I have mentioned it to my cardiologist he doesn't to acknowledge me about it , I've also mentioned it to my respiratory consultant who has done a CT scan and now I have lung function tests shortly
But I told him it happens nearly every night , and when it happens I believe at that moment I'll never get my breath and it's so scary
I think I'm also experiencing acid reflux.

Yes this sounds like Sleep Apenia, But as I am talking from experience and not from a medical qualification. It's best to get a diagnosis, ASAP because even after diagnosis it took about 6 weeks to get a Cpap machine from the hospital.
It really does sound like Sleep Apnea I lived with it for years and my cardiologistic said it was undoubtably the cause of my heart issues. I would push really hard for a sleep test, I was wired up and had mine at home as opposed to staying in hosptital the night. There is an oral test ( can be found online ) 7 questions from memory and if you get a high score the doctor can refer you immediately. Your husband is the best witness and they should listen to his worries as well . I received a Cpap machine and my life changed and I have never looked back. Wishing you well.
