over sleeping

hi, new to this page. I was diagnosed in 2019 with FND and this was also the time my sleep went all over the place. I can sleep up to 30hrs in one go but usually it’s 15-18hrs per day, so eventually get put on referral for sleep clinic only took a year to get an appointment. Then I had to wear the watch for fourteen days and do an overnight stay, that was November. This Thursday the consultant phoned me 9am to tell me that my medication could kill me and I need to rip it it off straight away (pain patches) talked to gp they told me it would take 4 weeks to wean off as I had been on them so long. Next I get call from hospital can I go in next week (Christmas week) they said it was an urgent request from consultant , after explaining about weaning off meds they booked me in for overnight on them so long 30th January. My wife cannot believe how calm I am to get the first call but I have always been known for being laidback (people have said horizontal lol) . Apparently I stopped breathing a lot during my overnight. Anyway that’s my rant over hope you all have a quiet Christmas. Kevin
