I am new to this group, yet I am reading that we all are having similar challenges with sleeping and calming our minds. I am just staring to use breathing exercises to wind-down at night and then on to meditation. Has anyone developed and other successful coping mechanisms?

Always sleepy and struggle to rest
Hi there I've replied to a few posts on here but it is a bit of a journey isn't it. I've noticed very recently is that my problem started when I first got my first smartphone years ago. Don't misunderstand me though I'm a tech analyst so I like technology so I don't say this easily but I have actually started using my tech less and making sure my phone is on flight mode at night. Wishing I could afford it Faraday tent which is all the rage now but they are quite expensive but I have noticed a dramatic difference in my sleep. You can download a lot of these podcasts to listen to so you don't have to have the signal on on your phone but it is quite challenging I had to change some of my lifestyle choices with technology and go around my house and limit my exposure but it is a deeply interesting science with a great foundation behind it. Hope it helps.
Hello Natsdaughter. Thank you for sharing your experience. I find that if I have a good night's sleep EVERYTHING is better (anxiety/depression, strength, positivity, etc.).
You may want to try a sleep sound machine and/or an essential oil machine, both of which can be purchased at a reasonable price if you shop around online. Before bed I go to bed I apply dead sea oil (magnesium) to my feet while focusing on reflexology points (books about reflexology are online and at the public library), a CBD bath before bed, a routine of bed yoga/stretches you can do in your bed before sleep and the morning (there are books for this), a nice big glass of water on the nightstand, making sure your sheets are clean and pleasing to you and wearing a sleep mask over your eyes if your bedroom isn't completely dark. Hope you have sweet dreams soon.
